We can expect more leaks about the Intel Core i9-14900KS as its rumored launch in mid-March approaches. Hardware detective momomo_us has been investigating Team Blue's clues over the weekend. Their latest findings reveal product codes "BX8071514900KS" and "CM8071504820506," along with two listings on PC21 France's website. Intel appears to be offering its limited edition Raptor Lake Refresh flagship in two versions—a boxed package and a tray option for system integrators. This is not uncommon for OEM parts to appear in retail channels, as seen in previous cases. The tray option provides a more cost-effective choice for users who do not need fancy packaging or coolers, making it a budget-friendly option for the new CPU.

The Core i9-14900KS is not cheap, but the leaked listings show that the OEM option is €16 (~$17.25) cheaper than the boxed version. The French retailer has both items on order but no stock in their warehouses. The boxed Core i9-14900KS is priced at €768.34 (~$828) including taxes, while the tray variant is listed at €752.62 (~$811) with VAT included. These prices may change as they are likely based on pre-launch estimates. PC21 France does not show prices for the already released Core i9-14900K and 14900KF SKUs, but other retail listings suggest a price difference of €146 between the "K" and "KS" versions.
