Team Group Unveils T-Force Z54E M.2 NVMe Gen 5 SSD with Phison E28 Controller

Team Group has announced the launch of its latest high-performance storage solution, the T-Force Z54E M.2 NVMe Gen 5 SSD. Designed for enthusiasts and demanding users, this SSD leverages the advanced Phison E28 series controller, manufactured on TSMC’s 6 nm process. This new controller offers improved thermal efficiency compared to its predecessor, the E26 series, making it an attractive option for users seeking both speed and reliability.

Exceptional Performance with PCIe 5.0 Technology

The T-Force Z54E SSD is available in 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB capacities, all utilizing the PCI-Express 5.0 x4 interface. This enables impressive sequential read speeds of up to 14,900 MB/s across all models. Sequential write speeds reach up to 14,000 MB/s for the 2 TB and 4 TB versions, while the 1 TB model delivers up to 13,700 MB/s. These speeds position the Z54E among the fastest consumer SSDs currently available, ideal for gaming, content creation, and other data-intensive applications.

Efficient Cooling and Endurance

The T-Force Z54E is supplied as a bare drive, featuring a graphene-based heat spreader for passive cooling. There is no active cooling solution included, so users are encouraged to utilize the heatsinks provided with their motherboards to maintain optimal operating temperatures during heavy workloads.

In terms of durability, Team Group rates the Z54E’s endurance at 600 TBW (terabytes written) for the 1 TB model, 1200 TBW for the 2 TB version, and 2400 TBW for the 4 TB variant. These endurance ratings ensure long-term reliability for users with intensive storage needs.

While Team Group has not disclosed random-access performance figures or pricing details at this time, the T-Force Z54E M.2 NVMe Gen 5 SSD stands out as a compelling choice for those seeking cutting-edge storage technology with robust performance and efficiency.
