EK Introduces New Liquid Cooling Gear for ROG MAXIMUS Z790 FORMULA Motherboard
Leading liquid cooling gear manufacturer EK is set to support the popular ROG MAXIMUS Z790 FORMULA motherboard with a unique liquid distribution VRM Bridge. The EK-Quantum Momentum² VRM Bridge ROG Maximus Z790 Formula D-RGB connects the integrated ASUS HyperChill III VRM cooling and EK-Quantum Velocity² 1700 CPU water block into a single entity.
For users with the previous generation Z690 VRM Bridge, EK offers an upgrade kit that allows them to convert the EK-Quantum Momentum² VRM Bridge ROG Maximus Z690 Formula to feature a white piece that matches the motherboard's color scheme. It also enables the use of the existing Z690 bridge with the new ROG MAXIMUS Z790 FORMULA motherboard.
The integrated ASUS HyperChill III VRM Z790 Formula water block is copper-based and compatible with custom loop liquid cooling. However, the use of purpose-made PC liquid cooling coolant is necessary to prevent corrosion issues. Users experiencing issues with the VRM water block on the Z690 Formula should contact ASUS for assistance.
EK-Quantum Momentum² VRM Bridge for ROG Maximus Z790 Formula
The EK-Quantum Momentum² VRM Bridge is a unique off-the-shelf solution that connects multiple liquid cooling components with a special mounting mechanism. It is designed exclusively for the ROG Maximus Z790 Formula and allows users to attach any existing Intel LGA 1700-socket-compatible EK-Quantum Velocity² CPU water blocks.
Please note that the Z790 VRM Bridge is not compatible with Z690 Formula motherboards.
The new VRM Bridge from EK replaces the standard method of connecting the integrated ASUS HyperChill III with the liquid cooling loop. Instead of using multiple angled fittings and tubing, only EK's VRM Bridge and two fittings for the CPU block are required. The Bridge acts as a single entity, channeling coolant through the CPU water block and VRM cooling block with two connection points.
EK-Quantum Momentum² VRM Bridge ROG Maximus Z690 Formula White Upgrade Kit
The Z690 Formula VRM Bridge upgrade kit allows users to convert it to a white color that matches the motherboard's aesthetic. It also includes new push-in fittings that enable its use on the ROG Maximus Z790 Formula without the need for a new VRM bridge if the motherboard has been upgraded to the latest generation.
The Formula motherboard's voltage regulating module cooler has two operating modes - air or water cooling. Water cooling provides lower temperatures and improved stability during high overclock frequencies. The new VRM Bridge solution features a highly effective nickel cooling channel for heat dissipation.
Patented EK Design
The EK-Quantum Momentum² VRM Bridge features a patented mounting and locking solution developed exclusively by EK. The user-friendly locking system can be operated in a few simple steps, allowing for quick connection of the CPU water block and the integrated ROG Maximus Z790 Formula VRM cooling block. The EK Bridge solution simplifies the installation process by eliminating the need for multiple angled fittings and tube cutting.
The EK-Quantum Momentum VRM Bridge ROG Maximus Z790 Formula D-RGB is CNC-milled from a single piece of high-grade glass-like cast acrylic top cover. It slides onto special nickel-plated barb push-in fittings, with a stainless steel base plate acting as the locking mechanism.
EK-Matrix7 Compatibility
The EK-Quantum Momentum² VRM Bridge ROG Maximus Z790 Formula D-RGB upgrades the Velocity² to a full EK-Matrix7 Foundation product. This ensures perfect alignment with every EK-Quantum Reflection² distribution plate, eliminating the need for offset adapters.
The EK-Matrix7 product raster sets a new standard in liquid cooling, with products and port distances managed by increments of 7 mm. This simplifies product alignment and reduces planning and tube bending time during the building process.
RGB Lighting on EK-Quantum Momentum² VRM Bridge ROG Maximus Z790 Formula D-RGB - White
This product is compatible with ASUS Aura RGB control software. The 3-pin LED connector should be aligned with the +5V marking on the Aura Gen 2 header.
Please note that this monoblock bridge solution is only compatible with the ROG Maximus Z790 Formula motherboard and EK-Quantum Velocity² 1700 CPU water blocks.
